I'd just like to say thank you to Sean for a well constructed answer regarding the regeneration of Edge Lane Allotments, we have had tremedous support from David and Jess from MCIN who are doing a great job working with the community. We have had great support from all the local couciliors, Funding from the cash grant scheme, and a £1,000 from Parks and Leisure, as you are so supportive on your wonderfull blog I,m just wondering If there is any chance of any funding for our communty workshop at a cost of £4000?? after all It Is you people at the top that can make things happen in the local community. Keep up the good work.
If you look at the way New East Manchester and it's partners have worked in the area to support local communities in creating some wonderful greenspaces like the Medlock Valley, Philips Park, Openshaw park. I'd place a firm bet that, with their help, you'll be able to create a fantastic rescoure that all the community will embrace.
As per usual the politicians telling us how well they have fought for us all? what a crock,MCC would have demolished the allotments exept for the downtern of the property market and land values going down now they all come out of the woodwork "doing what they are good at damage limitations" to make it look like theve done us all a favour.Anyway im glad all you guys have your allotments and have fought hard for them well done.
