Inspirations In Art 2009

This piece of art by a group of residents of Victoria House was entered into a competition named "Inspirations in Art".
The idea was to observe individual pieces of art on display at Manchester Art Gallery and be "inspired" by it.
Entry to the competition was available to anyone with an interest in art.
The standard of entries is very high as the winning entries are displayed in the gallery.
A group of residents at Victoria House entered the competition with a piece of ceramic works depicting scenes of Manchester.

Impressions of Lowry's famous "Piccadilly Gardens".

File:

Five people at Victoria House give their views of Lowry's famous painting of Piccadilly Gardens from 1954.

The original painting is available to view the City Art Gallery on Mosley Street. The idea of this podcast is that listeners can download the file onto an mp3 player for listening to while observing the picture on the ground floor of the gallery.

This gives you an alternative perspective of this art work. Did we get it right? Feel free to email us at victoriareporters@googlemail.com with your feedback or comments.
