Spring At Edge Lane Allotments

Hi everybody Its been a lovely weekend on the plots, It was so nice to see everybody busying away on there plots this weekend. Newcomers trying there hardest to get ready for the growing season and some of the old timers just chilling in the sun.

Its great to see New East Manchester getting behind the allotments, Ryan Tracy has helped with the funding of the coach trip to Harrogate and of course Cath Moran who helped with the cash grant last year. People from the allotments are getting involved with the High Leigh fun day the phillips park seeds of the east day we have community reporters from The Peoples Voice Media and allotmenteers helping out at the Tatton Show on the allotment stand, then of course we have the Edge Lane Open day on the 9th of August and If anybody has any good Ideas for the show or would like to have a stall or a stand call in to the allotments any Sunday and ask for Sharron or Patrick.

I want to thank the very kind people who gave us a water butt and some paving stones for the allotments insted of throwing them away, we have put them to good use. You know who you are so don't forget your free fresh veg in the summer.
