FREE DAYS OUT ON YOUR BUS PASSES

HI EVERYONE.... Just passing on some information gained by seeking out...WAYS TO USE YOUR BUS PASSES...TO A BETTER ADVANTAGE.
I have learnt, that by phoning STAGECOACH bus services, telephone number 0871 200 22 33 (calls cost 10p per min ) you can obtain lots of information regarding day travel for free.
They were very helpful and sent me leaflets of services and time tables ..OR you can log on to their web page and download timetable etc.
They operate a service from the new Bus Station in Shudehill to Blackpool, calling at Horwich, Chorley & Preston. This service is FREE using your concessionary bus passes and enables you to spend several hours at your destination before returning home.
The earliest you can travel on your pass is 9.30am and the first bus departing for Blackpool that you can use your passes on is 9.40am. If using a bus to travel down to Shudehill you would have to pay 75p to get there or wait until the next departure which is one hour later. The last bus leaves at 6.05pm from Blackpool Talbot Coach station OR.....South Shore at 6.15pm.
WATCH THIS SPACE.....as I am going to do this trip...check it out and report at a later date which will be in a few weeks time. hopefully with some pictures of the trip.

this is a great tip!
I do remember watching something on North West Tonight about a couple of friends who were going to travel from Lands End to John O'Groats (or vice versa) using just their free bus passes staying with friends on the way.
But being able to get to Blackpool and back for FREE is great.
I look forward to your report and pictures and hope you'll bring back a stick of rock!
