Edge Lane allotments Open day
The sunshine smiled down for our well-attended open day on Sunday 9th August. Everyone had fun and the children had a whale of a time on the various stalls including hook a duck, face painting, tombola and soak the grandad!
A scarecrow and cake competitions provided some friendly rivalry and the delicious food on on offer went down a treat!
There was a display of fruit and veg grown on the allotment and local residents had the opportunity to buy some lovely fresh produce and help raise funds to help continue the ongoing improvements on site.
Come and join us, we are always in need of a spare pair of hands helping around the community garden and raised bed areas and we are a friendly crowd and happy to encourage the experience of growing something for yourself!

Some great pics of a wonderful day made all the better by the weather.
And once again a great big thank you to all the Allotment members who made this day possible
Just one complaint !!!!!!

The fun day was a great day the sun stayed out for us which was a blessing.
Everyone had a good laugh and loads of fun. Thank you to everyone who help on sunday i think we are still recovering from it ha ha!!!
