Catch22

Ready or Not
Ready or Not calls on the Government to formally recognise young adulthood, from 16 to 25, as a specific life stage and ensure policies and services are better coordinated, better suited and more relevant to young people struggling to make the transition to adulthood.

Becoming a fully independent adult doesn’t happen overnight, nor on any given birthday. It’s a gradual process which moves at different speeds for each young person.

Young people need help as they make the transition from childhood to adulthood. Many will have families or communities to call on, but for those who don’t the state needs to be there to give a helping hand.
