I Bike Manchester Festival - Community Reporters Needed!

Calling all budding reporters! The fantastical I Bike Manchester
festival is getting underway from Friday 27th March to Friday 24th
April 2009, and they want YOU to come and tell the world about it!

Win tickets to the Frog and Bucket!

See video

MCIN has got two pairs of tickets to give away to the Frog and Bucket
comedy store - they're valid for any Thursday or Friday night (except
special events). If you want to win a pair, simply record yourself
telling a joke, and send it in to jess@mcin.net

You can do it on your mobile phone, or on a webcam, or come in to the office and we'll set you up with some equipment.

Send it in by the end of February - the funniest joke wins (and remember, it's the way you tell it!)

This video is just to get the juices flowing....

Have fun!

New BoftheBlog forums!

Hello BoftheBlog!

We've got some sparkly new additions to
the site - interactive discussion forums. These have been set up to
replace the old forums on the Eastserve site, which were suffering from
ancient technology.

In the top left hand corner of the font page all the latest forum posting will be listed. If you click on 'more' that will take you to the list of all the forum topics.

Communnity Reviewers Get Active!

Community
Reviewers have just teamed up with the wonderful people at Manchester
Sport and Leisure who are so keen to get people off their sofas and
jumpin around that they’re offering Reviewers a wealth of opportunities
to get active. They’ve got facilities all over Manchester, so there’s
bound to be something going on somewhere near you.

Community Reporter's Newsletter - Theatre Tickets This Friday!

Anyone who's a Community Reporter should be receiving our Community Reporter's newsletter, a regular email letting you know about all the opportunities available to Community Reporters. We've got loads of free tickets to events as part of our Community Reviewers scheme, and if you let me know about it, I'll include information about events or courses you're running and let other Community Reporters know about it. I'll also be posting it on Boftheblog.

Loving the Techno Chicken

Technoboy made my day when he came into the office and delivered his scrummy sticky chicken straight to my desk - still hot, and still sticky. And in case you don't believe how scummy they are, it's been caught on camera. Just look how happy I am!

D-Day Celebrations at the Grange!

The bunting was out in force today at the Grange community centre in Beswick as the East Manchester Over-50's Forum, working with New East Manchester and 4CT, celebrated the 64th anniversary of D-Day.
