Volunteers Welcome! Set-up of a Polytunnel for East Manchester's 'Grow Your Own' Garden (Friday, April 16th).

Greetings!

This is our first post at boftheblog.com and we’re very happy to be here. We've also got some exciting news we'd like to share with you.

At the moment, EMERGE is in the process of setting up a ‘grow your own’ garden just outside New Smithfield Market (M11 2WJ). This garden is part of the EMERGE Local Food Works project that aims to promote healthy eating and home grown food, in an attempt to reduce carbon emissions whilst building relationships within and across communities.

How about receiving a CAMEO for your achievements

With Multimedia being promoted as a way for people to show positive and negative happenings within a community, I believe it would be a good idea to honour this behaviour for people who actually produce the multimedia content. America has its OSCARS, we can have our own, and they could be called CAMEO's. As most multimedia content is produced for websites, blogs etc, its makes sense to convey this in the name, so my idea for a name is CAMEO which could stand for

Day Event at Sporting Edge

See video

To celebrate International Women's Day 4CT hosted a day of women only activities at the new Sporting Edge complex in Openshaw.

A number of women and girls attended the event and had an opportunity to try their hand at a number of activities including Tai Chi, Basketball, Football, Indoor Bowling and much more.

After lunch the hall was cleared to make way for a Salsa Dance demonstration and for those who wanted to relax there were manicures and massages.

A great day was had by all!
