our first video

This video was made at the Wells Centre by a group of people from the Community Reporters course which runs every Wednesday from 10.00am until 12.00noon.
Some of the group had never used a video camera before and none of the group had ever done any video editing.
However the group came up with an idea for the video, planned and scripted the interviews, planned the shots, filmed interviews with members of staff and the group themselves, edited the video adding effects and titles.
Finally we uploaded the video to YouTube for everyone to see.

Pictures of East Manchester

Hi folks,

Community Reporters visit the BBC

Today was a bit special, as a community reporter I got to visit the BBC along with fellow community reporters, and take a look behind the scenes of the Northwest Tonight program featuring presenters Gordon Burns and

Gary Copitch talking on Co-op Day

This was made some years ago, and it would be interesting to get an update from Gary.

What is the current situation? time for the community to be updated let us know if any progress has been made or is there more still to be done.

How about receiving a CAMEO for your achievements

With Multimedia being promoted as a way for people to show positive and negative happenings within a community, I believe it would be a good idea to honour this behaviour for people who actually produce the multimedia content. America has its OSCARS, we can have our own, and they could be called CAMEO's. As most multimedia content is produced for websites, blogs etc, its makes sense to convey this in the name, so my idea for a name is CAMEO which could stand for

Community Award for Multimedia Excellence Online
